The wines were generally good and the hosting businesses cordial, but the mention of only 20 wines being available for tasting — that’s less than one per participating business — seems low. Not that this is supposed to be as big or varied as THE Decatur Wine Festival, but…..

Yes, there are the odd (and I do mean ‘odd’) drunks that make their appearance at this event. But on the whole, this event has been a fun, festive and surprisingly family-friendly way to see your Decatur neighbors and get to know the local business owners.

For those who’ve never been, it’s not somber like a sophisticated wine-tasting, but it’s not exactly a drunk-fest either.
