and I’m not debating wheather or not the preservation of the office, or other historical aspects, or the overall final plan…I think its all great too! Obviously I like preservation if I’m debating the tearing down of the silly Roly Poly building!

To me its all part of the framework of the city…however small…

As for a business being displaced, the Roly-Poly was a “willing seller”.

As for the appearance of the finished product, I suggest that you withhold judgment until we see the final product.

I know this is a small instance, but a lot of small instances add up to a Commerce dr situation (Next time you drive down Commerce think of the lane you are driving in is literally located where people’s living rooms used to be!)

Just not sold this is the highest and best use of tax dollars.

Again, though, I have not heard a real explination of why this is necessary. Someone obviously feels it is…there must be a traffic count out there somewhere proving that taking another nick out of the street character is necessary (yes, I think that building adds more to the character of the street than a turn lane or mega cemetary entrance…)
