A few weeks ago, one of the History Channel’s “Gangland” Episodes was about gang activity in the Atlanta metro area. Obviously, the show wants to be as explosive as possible, but if even half of the stuff they presented is true, no one in their right mind would consider moving here.

One of the largest is Sureno 13 (aka Sur 13). Go to Wikipedia to learn more.

But will they make a movie out of it? Or inspire a Law & Order Ripped from the Headlines episode?

On a more serious thought, though, between the various PD’s across the Piedmont region of our peachy state, which one experiences the greatest disconnect/discrepancy between having the investigative data and being able to do anything with it (waiting for arrest or search warrants to be signed, organizing enough manpower to find persons of interest)?

From folks who seem to know, I hear that there’s been a bit of a coverup, or at least downplaying, of the fact that gangs are here in a big way in metro Atlanta.
