The chicken I ate came from http://www.freebirdchicken.com. The meats were all delicious. I had planned to eat veggie sides until I heard the chicken was all natural. The person I spoke with said that there isn’t one farm he could point to (due to supply and demand) but that their goal is non factory-farmed and high quality. I’d love to see a more developed statement by the Community BBQ for those of us on the Food Inc diet so we can make informed choices (I’d like all restaurants to do this, ideally). But I’d have to say that it seems like they are off to a good start if this kind of thing matters to you. Everything was TRULY delicious as well. Loved the mac and cheese too.
p.s. I noticed they are also a member of Georgia Organics (like many other fine Decatur restaurants such as Cakes and Ale, etc.)
