You also had access to Private Shopping to pick out parent gifts ( all $1 or $2). It was quite the event in 1962. Later when it moved to roof of downtown Rich’s ( city goverment building now…sad), there were reindeer on the roof, Santa’s village, and up close to the HUGE ornaments on Rich’s great tree.

Now it is just a ride…nothing special.
