1. Lunch cannot be served
2. Buses cannot be guaranteed (CSD relies on DeKalb county buses) (After Rosa Parks died, there was talk of canceling school since DeKalb was sending most(all?) of their students to her funeral)
3. It’s not safe to travel to school due to inclement weather
4. School facilities are not operating correctly*, **

* This happened once when I was in third grade at Winnona Park. The heaters failed overnight in the middle of winter so they canceled school.

** But when I was at College Heights for Pre-K, the power was out after Hurricane Opal and we still had school.

Not sure if they would close all the schools because one had flooding. Doesn’t seem possible that Glennwood or College Heights could have flooding, or even Renfroe I think. DHS–maybe? But I know for sure WP basement-level classes are probably flooded–that is all kindergarten plus the cafeteria. The yahoo groups have been quiet (as has this place!).
