This COULD be the time they send Kevias away for a while. In DeKalb County alone he’s racked up 2 felony and 2 misdemeanor convictions and is currently awaiting trial or otherwise has open 2 additional misdemeanor cases and three felony cases. Pretty good for a twenty-year old. Of course, it looks like he’s only sitting in jail on $5,500 total bond, so as soon as someone posts that for him he’ll be back out there!

Also found it curious that Chief Booker references a Tuesday August 19th arrest. The 19th was yesterday (Wednesday). Kevias has been in jail since August 4th (a Tuesday) on carjacking charges. Was this a typo by the chief or was Kevias arrested on a different carjacking and then linked to the Adams street incident afterwards?

It’s discouraging to know that police officers do an incredible job to catch these ultra-violent perps and then judges drop charges or allow them to plead down and roam our streets again with impunity. Until our legal system takes recividism among violent offenders seriusly, we’ll see more and more of this.

Rusty’s comment made me bristle because I read it as though he were automatically pinning all recent crimes on these guys. Looking back, I see that he was merely suggesting they might be involved. I did read it slightly wrong.
