Cheapest price around. Now, I just gotta hope I drive by a QT to get a similar price.

I can’t believe how quickly they tore that place down.

I can’t remember if I ever posted this, but the Clairmont Heights Civic Association site posted this note about that station a couple weeks back.

“BP Gas Station Changes

Look for changes soon to the former BP gas station in Emory Village as the company apparently continues its retreating from the Atlanta market and prepares the property for sale. Following a hearing on July 20 with the Historic Preservation Commission, BP received approval to clean up the property, including demolishing the structures, removing underground gas tanks, and planting these areas with grass. “

I find it to be a uniquely charming Decatur affectation that we find our gas stations to be much more useful as restaurants (Watershed, Fellini’s, Taqueria Del Sol, Leon’s) or movie sets than, well, gas stations.
