No one knows yet how flu season will play out this year. But the basics are always a good idea–lots of handwashing and keeping sick kids home. This might be a good year to suspend the award for perfect attendance–kids shouldn’t be lobbying to go to school when sick so they can maintain a perfect record. And it’s a good year for parents to heed those teacher requests for more hand sanitzer!

Just FYI…I’ve contacted CSD about what their plans regarding H1N1, and hopefully will be an official response from the superintendent’s office soon. I’m assuming CSD will want to speak with one voice on this one, as opposed to getting a response from individual principals.

Can you tell us what the CSD is planning as far as utilizing the CDC’s guidelines for prevention and control of the H1N1 Virus (Swine Flu)? See link below for CDC’s guidance.

I’ve looked on the CSD website and can’t seem to find any information at all about this.
