Then you and the school are both home free… except they miss some funding based on your kid… but then again, they aren’t having to teach them for a few weeks either. By the time all the testing and homeschool lesson plan/attendance record stuff catches up with you… you have re-enrolled them in school.

I had some friends who did this so that their children could go with their father while he did business in Europe fr six weeks.
