After watching neighbors speed down our road this morning, it occurred to me that maybe the grant can be funneled to the construction of more speed humps in Winnona Park. That why we can speed up some job growth and slow down some single-minded neighbors. This may be off point, and, for that, I humbly apologize–I just have a hard time figuring out why people have to get their cars up to forty miles per hour on a residential road when they are only going 200 yards to their houses.

Robert, there is not enough time in my day to respond to your last post. Guess the suggestion of employing a person doesn’t stimulate the economy in your view. But buying a machine that scans tags does and will really make a difference in the lives of Decatur citizens. Agree to disagree we must.

Robert, re your statement, “the teabaggers would like for the Feds to spend less money in the worst recession since the 1930’s, but I, like you, think they are dead wrong.”

I’ve been trying to think of the right response to this, and realized nothing I say would make a dent in your thinking that people who want a smaller government presence in our lives are “dead wrong.” Those of us who believe that government spending and actions by BOTH parties are largely responsible for the mess we are in continue to be shouted down by those who expect that same government to solve all our ills by spending us into even more Chinese-held debt.

Can’t wait to see how much I get flamed for my comments…DEM, please monitor for personal attacks.
