yes…i have been a Decaturite for many years and blissfully so. one of the top 3 restaurants in Atlanta is located in Decatur – Cakes and Ale. we have great shops and people and independently owned businesses. who would want to live anywhere else?

Re: YDFM – it’s about 3 minutes from my house. the produce section is inspiring, to say the least. the cheese section is getting better and better – and less and less of it seems to have that stale, damp smell. the bulk grains and spices are the best deal in town. there are things i won’t buy there because of the dampness that seems to follow it back to my house, such as bread and their fresh pasta. however, it’s a wonderful resource for our town and particularly Decatur.

We got a large cheese pizza and I couldn’t eat it. It was like Chuck-E-Cheese, without the automatronic robots and loud music. My wife felt the same way. I really hope we are the exception rather than the rule…Can anyone else report their experiences? Lastly, the sauce was the WORST part…How did they win any prizes for this??

Follow their lead and you will dine well in this town.
