For good, inexpensive Thai food there is hole-in-the wall place in Tucker (about 5 miles from Decatur) called Yum Yum. Wonderful service and a great value.

My extended family and many of our friends all love Royal Orchid at Midtown Promenade next to the movie theatre! So glad it got another "vote" here. Definitely a hidden gem. The food is fresh, light and delicious. The people are lovely.

You guys have got to listen to Karen above, Oriental Pearl is quite good. Incredible ribs, good dumplings and Chinese broccoli that I couldn't stop eating ... I was introduced to it by a life-long, native Chinese, restaurant owner. Not a savory location but very savory eating!

I think Pyng Ho may be 'love it or hate it' but i love it. We don't eat anything but seafood dishes there and it has always been fresh and good. The family that owns it are very nice and they are open to questions or different combinations of things. I also will go into about anything Cliff Bostock suggests in his grazing or good eats column in creative loafing, and he frequently writes about pho or odd places on buford highway. Bien Thuy closed (so sad) but Bostock's column for last week says Chateau de Saigon is great and it serves both Chinese and Vietnamese -- yum! I went into a small vietnamese place last week, coming on claremont from decatur, turn right on buford hiwy, restaurant is on the right in a small strip mall with some kind of tire store, and before you get to the CDC entrance. It was clean and happy in there and the food was excellent.
