I spoke to the new owners while walking by one night…they are a very nice brother and sister from Dublin. Their concept is to be one of a Dublin pub, but not traditional…more like the trendy pubs you’d find in contemporary Dublin.

“The Grange” was the home of the ill-fated Linton clan in Wuthering Heights. If they serve something called Heathcliffe’s Revenge, look out! I don’t know if that would make it a good name for a pub but it fits in the the literary theme that Cakes & Ale took up. A good theme with the Decatur Book Festival coming up.

I can see it. The whole place is a sort of “farmsteadian” collection of semi-rustic buildings. Throw in the grange info over at inDecatur about sharing meals together before getting down to bidness and it makes for a pretty decent start. May the road rise to meet ‘em!
