Good advice guys! What about a fedora with a little “Press” tag sticking out of it? Or would that be a little too “Dick Tracy”?

Notepad and pen work pretty good too. But not as intimidating as mondo equipment.

If you carry around a tripod and a camera bag, the political volunteers will leave you alone because they’ll think you’re media. I suggest carrying around said props everywhere you go in order to avoid inconvenient conversations with eager political volunteers.
