Hope folks do enjoy the ice cream cart. The owner is a local and is very excited about this venture. The hotdog cart is a “no go” for now. DeKalb County health regulations prohibit food preparation outside. They give us an exemption during festivals — something we had to work out several years ago.

Also, West Court Square was actually the name of the street that ran along side the Old Courthouse back in the day. Before the building was constructed in the early 70s, you could drive completely around the square. Ponce in the front, East Court Square on the East, West Court Square on the West and Sycamore Street along the south. The construction of MARTA closed off Sycamore Street. With that said, Quizno’s Plaza does have a ring to it.

Ha! I love “Quizno’s Plaza!” Especially since “West Courthouse Square” is such a ridiculously long and confusing name. Maybe we should have a contest to rename it!

Pretty sure it’s Blount Plaza. I support calling it by its name instead of Marta Plaza. Let’s see if we can start a trend.
(on the other hand, a contrary streak in my nature likes to refer to West Court Square as Quizno’s Plaza.)

Must have set up shop later in the day. I was by about 1PM and didn’t see it. BTW, How was Saba? Didn’t look like they were open at 1PM either.

Stopped by last evening after dinner at Saba and treated the fam to some classic Good Humor. Right behind us in line were the four horsemen of the apocalypse.

I guess the naysayers were right about the vending carts. They’re a clear marker for the end of days…
