Jaggers, Everybody's, Crickets (which then became Taco Mac), Lullwater and the immortal Dugout. One by one they all disappeared until all that was left was the family friendly Everybody's.Now as to the question of the liquor license.First the urban legend. Many a wee one was told the story that Park Bench nee' Jaggers was allowed to serve the demon liquor because a quirk in the law required the 200 yards from the church to be measured through the crosswalks. With the weird Oxford Rd / N Decatur Rd intersection this loophole made the front door of Jaggers just far enough. Now the truth. My understanding is Jagger's full pour license was grandfathered in when the ordinance was changed many years ago. And as the article accurately points out, it was lost when the Park Bench idiots closed it a few years ago. Yes, children, they were so effin retarded they actually lost an exclusive liquor license with no competition within a mile of the establishment. As far as the current situation. I'll just say that some have made inquiries into leasing the current space to open a tavern style establishment and were told the current owners were not interested. I suppose they have bigger fish to fry.Selah.

Back when I was a wee one (college freshman) Emory Village was a hopping place.
