I wonder what’s going on here? A rash of businesses dodging taxes, a clampdown on people missing payment deadlines, or a combination of both? I was deeply alarmed not to be able to get a margarita at Zocalo’s this evening, and it seems to be having a bad effect on the business. A real shame about the Angel too.

Zocalo Decatur (not sure about Midtown or Taqueria Zocalo in Grant Park) is also now without a liquor license, reportedly due to non-payment of taxes.

The long-awaited Grant Park restaurant from the owners of BSP will reportedly be a different concept, focused on food with a very small beer selection.
