As I see it, he’s trying to modify heavy-handed governing by a too-powerful CEO, and to restore to the people the representation in county government that we should have. Establishing the form of government of cities and counties in GA is the job of the state legislature, so that’s how it HAS to be done. Levitas believes in representation. This isn’t just about pouring hours–that’s only a recent and glaring example of the problems with DeKalb’s current structure.
