That was one of the most interesting things for me last weekend: seeing so much snow when we still had some (non-brown) fall leaves on the trees. The contrast of snow with deep red maple leaves or bright yellow gingko leaves was really striking.

Love the ginkgo! And the leaves… including the golden carpet that they create in late fall. I plan to plant a semi dwarf one next year (zone 5). Several varieties are available from my local nursery.
