Happy Friday! I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Please remember to support our local shops on small business Saturday!
I can’t see the list of recent posters anymore. Is that feature gone or is it a function of my current remote connection?
Me neither. The Like button is gone also.
Needed to disable all the site’s plugins to deal with some performance issues. Will now begin to bring them back online one by one. So both of these features should return – unless they were the cause of the performance issues!
Will CoD benefit from the commercial taxes arising from the Holbrook Decatur?
Is this development actually in Decatur (1880 Clairmont Road)?
“We have carved out a new niche when it comes to active adult living and are pleased to launch our new Holbrook Life concept of living life with passion and purpose in Decatur,”

Nope, outside CoD. The street is Clairemont in CoD.
The space formerly known as 17 Steps is becoming a UPS Store. Sign in window.
Ah yes, I was hoping it would be another chain store.
We need a “Sarcastic Like” button!
The number of Mom & Pops who ship and deliver globally is sadly lacking.
Any information on the space formerly known as Truman? The for lease sign is down and brown paper is on the windows.
Best place(s) in Decatur for launching entry-level model rockets?
The Decatur High School football field came first to mind but I don’t know what sort of access you could get. Also, there is a track field on the Agnes Scott campus that would seem to be ideal. You might want to discuss that with campus security first lest they think you were practicing to be a domestic terrorist.
I don’t think the HS wants chemical engine rockets lighted off on the field “plastic grass” turf field.
Gelnlake Park may work if it is a small rocket.
Try asking at Decatur Maker Group FB or a local Boy Scout Troop. The Scouts have had rocket launches behind WP Elem School.
In the grass field behind the Methodist children’s home.
While it is not exactly in Decatur, it might be exciting to launch one around the 38th parallel in Korea.
