  4. My daily kvetch. Has anyone ever stayed at the Orleans of Decatur apartment complex just north of the city before? My family is there on a short-term lease while our home is being renovated. If you’re considering it, don’t. Building’s fire alarm has gone off twice in the last month, both times false alarms that went on for an hour. Security gate is constantly broken, elevator broken at least once a week, trash areas overflowing with garbage, grounds filled with debris, and a management team that could care less.

    1. Sounds like just about every apartment complex I’ve ever lived in, actually.

    2. Highland Lakes worked for us when we renovated. There was one episode of paramedics responding to an Emory student drug overdose but it was otherwise clean, peaceful, and efficient with good management. However, management could have changed.

    3. With a url like this: orleanswmp.com would expect anything other than swamplike?

  6. Whats up with Church St. & North Decatur Rd where several auto show rooms were located? More apartments?

      1. Thanks – I go by there on my way to DeKalb Wellness Center aqua aerobics.
