Highland Bakery Opens Tomorrow in Downtown Decatur

At long last, Highland Bakery’s new Decatur location is opening.

A sign on the door of Decatur’s new Highland Bakery location in the Place on Ponce building at 315 West Ponce says that they will be opening tomorrow!  If you’re not familiar with the Atlanta-based chain, you can check out the menus of other locations on the Highland Bakery’s website.

If the meantime, enjoy a couple of high-quality photos I took through the window, earlier today.

      1. No, but their other locations are open for breakfast and lunch and close at 4 or 5 PM.

  1. It’s a true bakery!!! Hurray!!! It’s got a big selection of high quality desserts, pastries, cookies, muffins, some bagels, scones, biscuits. Good coffee. Breads coming soon. And the breakfast menu looks good. I have a funny feeling that it’s going to get crowded fast. I’m a little worried that it may eat into the business at Pastries-A-Go-Go and Dancing Goats but it’s much more of a bakery than they are and I suspect that there’s enough business for all of them. Shorter lines on Saturday and Sunday mornings are ok with me as long as everyone’s profits are adequate and all my favorite places stay open.
