What the Inside of a Whole Foods 365 Looks Like
Decatur Metro | May 11, 2016 | 2:10 pmIf you scavenge the internets, you can find renderings of the interiors of proposed Whole Foods “365” grocery stores. Here are a few interior renderings of the Silver Lake, CA locations from the L.A. website “The East Sider” to give a sense of what the Decatur location of the 365 concept store will look like when it opens in a 2018.

OMG! It looks just like a grocery store!!! I had no idea…
🙂
Sorry, I just had to poke a little fun 🙂
So… if you go there, the dark souls of the evil departed, as seen in the movie “Ghost,” will be there shopping and waiting to take you to hell?
Sooo… market research has determined that this little stretch of Scott Blvd is in need of three grocery stores within a stone’s throw of each other, all on the same side of the street? They would work well as a convenient stop for commuters on the way home to the burbs since they would be right turns in the afternoon. For the rest of us who can avoid the area during rush hour, it’ll probably be a weekend thing. May the best grocer win — my bet is on Wal-mart.
Not so sure on Walmart–I’ve found the selection pretty sketchy. For such a huge store, it sure manages to miss many of my key routine purchases.
Your mileage may vary, but they consistently get bottom ratings from Consumer Reports surveys.
Oh, I’ve never bought groceries from Wal-Mart. They just stand a better chance since they sell, you know, other stuff. Personally, I’m looking forward to perusing Sprouts!
Well Walmart does carry Kombucha, and at the lowest price I’ve seen in the area…But I think that is the only grocery item I have personally purchased there. My spouse, on the other hand, likes to shop for food there.
To me, it looks almost exactly like the inside of the Dekalb Farmers Market. I would post a picture but YDFM won’t let you take pictures inside. 😉
It’ll probably be cleaner, though.
