We already knew the Oakhurst Wine Crawl was a great event, working as it does to raise funds for worthwhile neighborhood projects. But we had no idea their largesse would one day rain down upon this fall’s Oakhurst Porchfest. (http://www.oakhurstporchfest.org) Now lo and behold, indeed it has.
Dig this: Those fine folks have committed to picking up the tab on Porchfest’s port-a-john expenses this year. Which, for those keeping score at home, constitutes a sizable portion of what it costs to put the Porchfest on. That’s pretty great, because it puts us one step closer to maintaining a totally non-commercial event for 2016.
This Saturday, March 5, at 4pm now presents an ideal opportunity for you to drink wine as an investment in your afternoon comfort next October. Tickets are just $30 and include all the… okay, you know how it works. You walk around. You drink wine. It’s great.
