If you tally up the organizers, porch hosts, musicians and others, the Oakhurst Porchfest was powered by more than 600 volunteers, all chipping in to help create what, by many accounts was a fantastic day.
One of those volunteers was Wendy Tennery, a local neighbor who decided the fun thing she wanted to do was shoot video wherever she went. So, in the spirit of Porchfest, she just did. Making the position of Porchfest Videographer an official thing.
Now she’s gone through it all and edited this fun recollection of the day, powered by a donated soundtrack from RUST, one of the Porchfest performers who so generously offered their time and talents. Check it:
For those who missed the announcement, Oakhurst Porchfest 2016 will be held Saturday, October 8, from noon to 6pm, with the now obligatory end-of-day throwdown in the Village thereafter. Sign-ups to perform or host are expected to launch early August.
