It should be noted that David Epstein’s plans for Pullman Yard have little community support, and seem to change every few weeks based on whatever amenities will be seen as on-trend by the hipsters he seeks to woo. His last iteration looked like it was done in MS Paint, and included building “edible gardens” for the nearby elementary school . . . on a derelict and pretty badly contaminated former industrial site. This development opportunity is a challenging and expensive one because of the site conditions and need for historical preservation of decrepit buildings. Epstein has done little to answer lingering questions about the financial viability of his dream beyond “Grants! We will get grants!”.
