The Decatur Police Department is hosting a bicycle registration event this afternoon from 3p to 6p in front of the Decatur Police Department at 420 West Trinity Place.
The process only takes a few minutes. You just need to bring your bike, provide owner contact info, having the bike manufacturer and serial # documented and a photo taken of your bike. That’s it!
Bikes are a commonly stolen item, so it’s probably a good use of time take this easy precaution.
Another little known tip: The DPD will also register any scooters that don’t meet the state’s tag requirements.
