Thanks, DM. Those Rockwell illustrations were wonderful.
Such a shame the Bishop is closing. I liked it a lot, but didn’t make it over there enough, which seemed to be the issue. I wish them well in their next endeavors.
Also very sorry to see The Bishop close. As someone who patronized the restaurant at least 25 times in the last year and a half, the owner’s success was compromised by the inconsistent efforts of the Chef. Hot soups served cold. Burgers orders “well done” served “rare”. Cold chicken pot pie returned to the kitchen to be re-heated but returned after 20 minutes barely warm because they did not have a microwave. Still, I kept going back with the hope that the inconsistencies would be resolved. At the same time, a tiny city of 3000 individuals cannot alone support the expanding AE restaurant “scene” until the condos and apartments (built into the local zoning) are finally built- one must market heavily beyond the city limits. The marketing effort beyond AE was late in coming. Hopefully the owners have been able to secure purchase of the business in order to recover at least part of there investment in the beautiful space they created, and we will have the opportunity to eat smoked fried chicken and turkey mushroom meatloaf again in the future.

Apologies. Should be fixed now.
