It is completely outrageous that Maloof would go on record boasting that he was offered this job as an actual promotion. Who is fooled by this? After only one year at DHS, he was kicked upstairs. Had he done badly as a teacher, he would have been fired, but because he now belongs to the protected caste known as administrators, he has been promoted. He is either spectacularly naive to say what he says here, or else utterly lacking in integrity, and thus unfit for an educational leadership role in any rational universe.
This is a great embarrassment for our school system.
Why is an outgoing Superintendant making so many decisions w/ long-term implications??? Where is the school board??? Goodness gracious!!
