Too funny. Thanks for that link.
I don’t recall seeing an issuance of building permit posted for the construction of this door. Can we get a building inspector over there to check see if it is up to code?
There’s one on Decatur Square – see if you can find it…
TinyDoorsATL didn’t do this one–theirs are more elaborate. I know of three in Decatur–one is Tiny Doors and the other two are not.
The fairy doors done in Ann Arbor are amazing:

So is Tiny Doors ATL a copycat of The Door Project, who put up the door by Ted’s last year, or are they affiliated? I believe Keebler and its PR firm have stolen the idea, too.
Not a new idea–i think it started in Britain over 100 years ago (or very possibly by the Keebler elves–I’m not sure). Just an old idea that’s been revived. I think they’re lots of fun.
ok, that’s charminger than eff
My 4 year is convinced they are doors for Leprechaun hideouts.
Yog-Sothoth knows the gate. Yog-Sothoth is the gate. Yog-Sothoth is the key and guardian of the gate. Past, present, future, all are one in Yog-Sothoth. He knows where the Old Ones broke through of old, and where They shall break through again. He knows where They have trod earth’s fields, and where They still tread them, and why no one can behold Them as They tread.
So maybe we need to put a lock on that door. The last time the shoggoths broke through, they really messed with the Decatur aesthetic.
You can check out a list of Tiny Doors ATL installations here: http://tinydoorsatl.com/doors All of our doors will always be listed on this site.
One of our co-directors is from Ann Arbor, where they have Fairy Doors. The project in Ann Arbor is what inspired Tiny Doors ATL. There are also small door installations in Asheville, NYC, and a newly minted Tiny Doors SEA in Seattle! We’ve also received pictures from folks traveling around Europe and thinking of us when they see very, very old small doors.
The doors you see around Decatur are part of a different project of folks who applied for funding from the City of Decatur after seeing the first Tiny Door ATL installation at the Krog Street Tunnel. There’s also a door in Decatur on Ponce by Ted’s, which was added by a woman who leaves doors in cities as she travels through. Once upon a time, that door had a QR code which lead to more information about her.
