Lots going on in and around Decatur this weekend.  Let’s quickly recap.  I’ve added to the initial list supplied by The Decatur Minute...

  • Beat the Street for Little Feet 5K
  • Concerts on the Square -7:00-9:30pm on the Community Bandstand featuring The High Strung String Band
  • dance, Dance, DANCE– On Saturday, May 2 from 5PM-10PM the open spaces and vacant buildings along 4 blocks of E Howard Ave (between Trinity Ave and the Ice House lofts) will be transformed into a FREE, all ages participatory dance experience: danceDanceDANCE!  East Howard Avenue will be closed between North Candler Street and Hillyer Place. Parking is available at the Decatur Recreation Center at 231 Sycamore Street.
  • Woodlands Gardens Youth Artist Market – Artists in grades 2-12 will be showcasing the following: jewelry ,dream boxes, embroidered pillows, whimsical sculpture, flower crowns, drawings, photography of Decatur, chalk painted wood pieces, and much more

Also, an update on the 4 Walls Realty Facebook page the other day reminded me that the Druid Hills Tour of Homes is also this weekend!  🙂

Happily given disclosures: Little Shop is DM’s wonderful longtime sponsor and 4 Walls Realty is part of the DM family

  1. I love the idea of an open dance space. Would love even better open dance lessons. Any kind of dance. Just an excuse to throw my arms around my honey and both of us following the instructions and the music.
Men of Decatur: if you take your wives to this event, and you dance with them as best you can, you will get laid that night.

    1. And if you can’t take advise concerning your love life from DM (aka Fifty Shades of P.Cross), then where?
