  • Mingei at Duck’s Kitchen: Last minute Valentine shopping on Feb. 14, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Come by Duck’s Kitchen to enjoy a meal and do a little shopping. Mingei will set up with Valentine cards, tins, jewelry, scarves, whimsical Mexican Day of the Dead couples, felted Romanian hearts and some deeply discounted treats for you and/or your honey.

  1. It’s not Decatur. It’s not even Metro. But we are going to see lions and tigers at Noah’s Ark Animal Sanctuary. I hope it makes up for me forgetting to order that stupid 50 Shades of Gray teddy bear.

    [And shameless plug, but Noah’s Ark is a wonderful non-profit animal sanctuary if you’re looking for a place to donate some moneys. It also makes for a great day trip for the kids – and adults.]
