All schools in the City Schools of Decatur will be in session tomorrow, January 16, 2015.
We received the following message from the DeKalb County Department of Watershed Management:
At this time we have achieved the needed isolation of the large line and are making the final repair on it. The main system has been pressured back up to meet the needs of our public and should not pose an issue during the repair. We should be back to normal within 48 hours once the repair is completed, we have made sure the water quality is acceptable in that line and placed the line back in service.
YES!!!

Got to warn you of a middle school prank going on. They text one another that school’s closed or delayed (e.g. for the cold last week), tell their parents they got the news by text, and then hope said parents don’t check it out online for themselves. Or giving the students the benefit of the doubt, they decide to believe the unbelievable given the lack of robo calls and emails. Evidently some showed up late for school on that really cold day last week because “they thought it was delayed for 2 hours”. I of course could say that I didn’t see it on DM so I knew it wasn’t true.
