Signs Indicate New Tesla Service Center Being Built Right Outside Decatur

teslaservice

David writes in that after being told by staff at the Marietta location that a second Atlanta Tesla Service Center would be opening near Decatur later this year, he’s been looking for signs of life at the former Isuzu dealership at 1580 Church Street (Google streetview), across the street from Nalley BMW.

After spotting a dumpster in the driveway recently, he took a closer look and noticed architectural plans with a large Tesla logo tucked inside the front door.

David states he’s heard the new location plans to open around August.

  1. And for those of us who don’t have an extra $90,000 running around, Vol-Maz is directly across the street.

    1. You don’t need $90k. The Model S has an MSRP of $70,000 and, of that, the pols decided that taxpayers should kick in about $13,000. Welfare for the 1%.

      1. $57,000, $70,000, $90,000…it’s all the same to a guy who has trouble spending more than $25,000 on a car. 🙂

But, I admit , they ARE really nice cars.

        1. They may not be 25k anytime soon, but it may only be a couple of years before some version of one is available for 35k.

    1. As far as I know, there is still a cap on the number of vehicles Tesla can sell directly in Georgia (i.e. not through an independent dealership). I don’t think anything has changed, yet.

  2. I called one right for a change. For my next prediction, I forecast that TJs goes into the old Loehmanns.

  3. There is a method to Elon Musk’s madness. It is explained below in a 2006 blog pos.t So be patient all you complainers.

We need more people with his type of vision. This guy is a true genius.

    1. Dang, FM, good catch!

I always liked what Tesla did with the old Five Man Electrical Band song (at least I think that’s who did the original…haven’t Googled it).
