Makan Popping Up at Parker’s in May and June Prior to Opening

Makan, the “Asian comfort food” eatery opening inside the downtown Decatur Courtyard by Marriott, plans to pop up at Parker’s on Poncethroughout May and June. The steakhouse just down the street from the hotel will host Makan for lunches in May and for dinner service in June. Executive chef and co-owner George Yu will take over the kitchen for lunch on May 1, 2, 15, and 16 from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m.; dinner pop-ups will take place June 1, 8, and 22 beginning at 5 p.m.

  1. Is this the place that was going to have Japanese-style karaoke? Did I dream that? I’ve been excited ever since I heard mention of it here…

    1. No, that’s the new Guy Wong (Miso Izakaya)-developed Big Boss Chinese, a Cantonese/dim sum/karaoke concept going in behind Sapori di Napoli, etc.
