Dog Found Wandering on Scott Boulevard Last Night

My wife and I live in Coventry and we’re coming down Scott Blvd late tonight. People started slamming on their brakes. There was a clearly disoriented dog in the middle of the road and about ten different cars had to swerve or hit the brakes to miss it. We pulled over and got him out of the road and brought him home. The dog clearly had fallen in some water, was soaking wet and shivering half to death. It’s a white medium sized dog…..pretty old. He had a red collar on that didn’t look all that old, but he was in such bad shape we think he might have been homeless or if not, had gotten lost and stayed lost for a week or two. We brought him home, cleaned him up and are taking care of him. We are just putting out a few feelers before we do anything.
We found him crossing Scott right in front of the Westchester admin building.
Contact DM if you know this pup and we can put you in contact with Doug.
good on ya, Doug
I guess his new name is Scott. Hope his owners are found soon.
I love the last sentence – “…putting out a few feelers before we do anything”.
You’ve ALREADY done a really great thing – that frightened little pup was saved by your actions. How many of us just drove by, annoyed at the delay in our commute? Bless you.
Great that you did that
Did you see that someone posted this on fb?

Hoping for a happy reunion. Keep us posted!
Sounds like we may have located the owner. Stay tuned!
Reunited!
Now I’ve got an ear worm from that song…
and it feels SO GOOD!!! YAY for sweet doggie and person!!!
Doug and Doug’s wife, y’all ROCK!!!
Score another good karma point for DM!!
If that is not the owner, then you could try taking to a local vet to check for a microchip. Also, check Georgia’s Missing Pets (on Facebook) and post the picture there. Good luck!
Thank goodness, cause I was going to have to adopt little scott!
SO glad you took this dog in-the owner was in a panic. She’s an older dog, deaf and blind in one eye. Sounds like you saved her life. Good work!
Thank you all for the kind replies. Annie was reunited with her family about an hour ago so my post had a happy ending
What a wonderful story!!
great story– and example!
The photo is so sweet. Please let us know what happens, if the woman mentioned above is indeed his person. And, yes, thank you for rescuing him.
Doug and his wife are true angels. Annie is safe and sound. Thank you to everyone’s kind words.
I’m really glad to hear that Annie made it home! I spotted her on Friday trotting along Westchester Dr., but I wasn’t able to get her to come to me. I had been worried about the old girl!
LOVE LOVE LOVE DM!
