From the Avondale Message board:
“Puppy running loose: Is tan with black markings running loose down Bromley Road. I tried to get him but he or she took off running. Looked to be less than 6 months old.”
Maybe the same dog?
According to our neighborhood email list, this dog has been spotted in the Leafmore subdivision near Oak Grove and Lavista. Last seen this morning on Vista Leaf. The spotter was sent the photo and confirmed it was this dog. It had the leash and collar described too. Dog was skittish so was not able to be caught. Good luck!
This is obvious, but around my hood I’ve had success a couple of times luring pups with treats and random food from the fridge. When one of my skittish neighbor’s dogs got loose, I sat on the ground and that relaxed her enough to come close so I could get her collar. I hope someone is able to get this gal to the 24 hour animal hospital ASAP. I was in such a good mood before I read this, poor little thing.
Lavista and Oak Grove seems really far since she was lost near Dekalb Animal Services (over near Memorial and 285).
There have been 3 sightings in the North Decatur area. One on Vista Leaf, one on Willivee, and another at Clairmont Circle and Powell Lane. Please call the number above ASAP if you see her. Thank you.
