WOW–it looks fantastic! And their menu sounds divine–can’t wait to try their food!!
Have I said I love Decatur lately? I LOVE Decatur!!!
Sounds lovely!
Heard great things from friends who at there at yesterday’s soft opening. Then again, the last time I had dinner with these particular folks it was at Golden Corral, so take that as you will. I’m looking forward to trying the non-seafood options and margaritas. Looks like they did a great job with the space!
Speaking of great jobs with the space, check out The Argosy on Flat Shoals Road in EAV. It’s a spectacular buildout. Food was good and the beer list is stellar. Smoking can be an issue in EAV, but not at this place.
love the Argosy too, there is always something to look at. Mar looks gorgeous- the menu almost makes me want to be a seafood convert.
It looks nice, but I hope they have some sound dampening somewhere. I see allot of clean, bold lines made up of hard surfaces. This will make for a very noisy place. I recall Feast was a unusually loud restaurant.
I have some dampening thoughts of my own.
I bet you do!
In all seriousness, the picture makes it seem very loud. It’s also clear that that the food smells funky and the liquor tastes watered down. So, really, what’s the point of even checking it out…
None, really. They should just close up shop now.
Did they ever deal with those issues at 246? Maybe that’s just the current Big Thing in restaurant design.
I highly recommend the Texas margarita! The shrimp salad had four good sized shrimp on it and I would order it again. The tacos were pretty good, mahi & shrimp/bacon but the avocado sauce was pretty spicy and seemed to overpower the seafood. The swordfish tostado was pretty good .
The salsa wasn’t very favorable and kinda pureed, no chunks. I’ll wait to order the pricey entrees when they have been open awhile!
Went last night. Waited 35 minutes for chips and salsa, 75 minutes for gazpacho. Tuna tartare served at 90 minute mark on a hot plate? Got our bottle of wine quickly. Left after 90 minutes — kitchen pacing was terrible, we ordered tuna tartare and cebiche — that should be ready made and out quickly.. Table next to us also left due to no food service.
Not sure if we will try it again????
