Morning Metro: Football Star Passes, Luckovich, and the Return of the Indie Bookstore?
Decatur Metro | December 26, 2012- Decatur native and Chicago Bears star Larry Morris passes [NYT]
- A collection of Mike Luckovich holiday cartoons [AJC]
- Chai Pani’s Asheville location has a quite the good health inspection score [TNT via Ow.ly]
- 100 Year old Kirkwood homes [Architecture Tourist]
- The Indie bookstore is back. Just ask Ann Patchett [The Atlantic]
How do you get 101? Perhaps by making everyone shower just as you enter the building ?
Took me a bit to figure out that you were referring to Chai Pani’s inspection score. Either scale goes above 100 or there’s “extra credit” possibilities. Kind of like the A+’s in the good old days of ABCDF ratings. Can’t wait until IB grading comes to food inspection………….”Hand Sanitation 4: A good general understanding of the required knowledge and skills for hand sanitation, and the ability to apply them effectively in normal situations. There is occasional evidence of the skills of contamination recognition, water-based rinsing, and mechanical drying in more challenging situations.”
It’s easy to do if all the employees give 110% in their cleaning efforts.
Thanks for posting the NYT obituary of DHS and GA Tech legend Larry Morris. The AJC also published a nice piece: http://blogs.ajc.com/georgia-tech-sports/2012/12/21/tech-legend-larry-morris-dies/
