Menorah Lighting on Decatur Square Rescheduled

The City of Decatur’s Katie Abel alerts us that the Menorah lighting on Decatur Square today has been rescheduled until Wednesday at 6pm due to rain.

  1. Oy vey. The ancient Maccabees got eight days of light from a day’s worth of oil and we let a little rain postpone a menorah lighting!

      1. Nah, recovering Catholic here. But having grown up in a predominately Jewish neighborhood, I’ve been to more Bar and Bat Mitzvahs and Passover Seders than most people not named Greenberg, Cohen or Levy. 😉

  2. Weren’t/Aren’t there 12 tribes of Israel? Is it true that blue eyes suggests tribe of David? Or is it red hair?
