Whoa…apocalyptic. Sweet shot.
1974 BMW 2002. Minutes before I snapped this, the car was engulfed in flames. The engine caught on fire and took the entire car with it. The man to whom the car belongs/belonged was standing there on the sidewalk. When the fire was a extinguished, one of the fire fighters approached him to talk about the incident. The firefighter’s exact words as he walked up to the man:
“What are you doing this weekend, other than buying a new car?”
Damn shame. Love those old 2002s.
Decatur or DeKalb firefighters? From what you can tell in the pic, the truck looks red, which would be DeKalb.

There’s an old 280Z that passes me on my commute that is probably next.
Is that what I smelled in downtown Decatur this morning @ 5:30? It smelled like burning tires.
