Will the grass be open this weekend or is everything going to be pushed onto the plaza?
Believe they’re keeping the grass closed until after beer fest.
Beer Festival, blah, blah, blah. I hope you irresponsible, yuppy, hop snobs have just a swell old time. Bah humbug.
[Now that, Fats, is a troll. A bitter, cynical troll from someone who will be driving four hours each way next weekend to a wedding of people I barely know. And a cash bar to boot.]
A cash bar? How tacky. Well, Junderscore, I’m sorry for ya, and I’ll drink mass quantities of samples in sympathy!
J_T, just go down to Wet Willie’s on River Street, have a couple of their “Call a Cab” drinks, and you will forget all about the beer festival. But, you are on your own with Mrs. J_T when you stumble into the wedding ceremony!
No worries. I’m “on my own” a lot. I can handle it.
Anyone need tickets? We have 2 that we are looking to sell.
Now you’re just taunting me
8 hours total in the car, cash bar, paying for hotel, etc…might as well buy our 2 extra tickets and skip the wedding. I am still planning on saving the tasting glass for you.
If only…At least I think I was mistaken about the cash bar. It seems the Friday evening rehearsal dinner may be a cash bar but the wedding Saturday will still be open bar. Plus, my parents live right outside Savannah so we will get to see them too. And yes, I will keep searching for additional reasons why missing the Beer Festival won’t be so bad…
Thanks for the glass, though! Just try not to do what I’ve done at least twice and leave it in the Brick Store bathroom afterward
Where the heck are they gonna fit everyone if the grass area is closed???
