Mary sends in this pic of some city employees trying out some of the new adult exercise equipment installed at Glenlake Park this morning.
Looks like the Decatur Active Living Facebook page also has a few pics of the install!

Looking forward to using the equipment!
Where are they installing the TV to watch while using that elliptical trainer?
So, when I take the kids to the park, I can’t pretend that the slide is exercise equipment any more?
I love this idea, when I went to China they take adult exercise equipment to another level. I mentioned to the Rec Department back in 2000 and they looked at me like I was crazy. Great work. Did the Active Living Committee help this happen.
Active LIving has been exploring the different types of adult outdoor equipment for a few years and we are very excited to make this happen. Our plan is to put some in a park in Oakhurst next budget cycle. Now adults have a playground too!
Can we work towards one of these like they have in Berlin?

Very cool. But in a society that is so litigious that public swimming pools can’t even have diving boards any more? I’m thinking, probably not.
Parkour!
Can’t we get one of those 1970s fitness trails? I like to bang out some monkey bar reps halfway through my morning run.
Now if we could only get a working water fountain in the Mead Road Park….
Wow, what an excellent idea!!
