I saw a police officer last weekend drive into the turnaround area and look very curiously at the signs, as if it was news to her. Or perhaps she had been called and was looking intently for the offender.
Somehow I don’t believe it holds the weight of law. The person putting a cone and a sign in the middle of the roadway is the one who should be ticketed.
Parking in the circle does hold the weight of law. The sign merely says someone will call to report it, the same as you or I would report illegal activity.
It is illegal to park there. I have to double check, but I’m pretty sure there is at least one sign stating it, but nothig says “Read me, dambit!” like a fluorescent orange cone.
Anyway, the turnaround is obviously for people to turn around in, and if cars are parked there, they can’t turn around in it.
If that car belongs to one of the camp counselors, I feel bad for posting the photo. Those folks work hard, and they deserve to park closer, especially if they’re hauling toys and stuff over to the pavilion.
Unless you own a red car!
SMH. I often wonder what it’s like to believe that you’re the exception to every rule, etiquette or otherwise.
EFF you CONE! YOU’RE not the boss of ME!

“… looking intently for the offender.” LOL – difficult to miss.

It’s illegal to park in a cul-de-sac?
I think it is in that one.

What street is this?
it is the end of the entry street for Glenlake Park (just past the tennis courts). I think they need to paint that whole circle curb red.
