Clairmont Commute Could Be Slowed This Morning
Decatur Metro | May 16, 2012Theslacks sends along this note from Emory (I think) about roadwork on Clairmont between N. Decatur Road and Starvine today and tomorrow…
DeKalb County residents and the Emory community have been informed that the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) has given permission for the railroad to close one lane in each direction on Clairmont Road between North Decatur and Starvine for repairs to the RR bridge. The lane closure is scheduled to begin May 16 at 9:00 a.m., and reopen the evening of May 17. For questions about GDOT activities, go to http://www.dot.state.ga.us or call 404-631-1990.
Made sure that I traversed this section this morning before the closure. Please let’s update one another about how bad it gets so we can plan to avoid. In that area, once you get stuck in a bottleneck, there’s few options to get out of it.
Why were the lanes still closed off this morning? Anyone know if they will re-open today? Clairmont heading southeast was a mess yesterday in the afternoon.
