Kickball and Dodgeball Clinics
From DHS Senior William “IV” Dennard
Looking to get some exercise, meet new people and have some fun?
Sign up for one (or both) of the adult kickball and dodgeball games I am organizing as part of my Senior Project.
KICKBALL Saturday, March 10th (DHS football field) 9-11am
DODGEBALL – Sunday, March 18th (DHS Gym) – 1-3pm
Both clinics will be held at Decatur High School and you may be asked to complete a brief survey as part of the clinic. I need 30 participants so sign up and bring a friend! Please RSVP via email to [email protected] by Monday March 5th.
Thanks and see you on the field!
Don’t forget the 5 Ds of Dodgeball: Dodge, Duck, Dip, Dive, and Dodge!
If you can dodge a wrench, you can dodge a ball.
This post makes me happy:
1. A high school student wants to do something with adults.
2. A senior is on track for their Senior Project and is not leaving it until the last minute (i.e. April).
3. This sounds like fun.
To IV: If you’ll share what “IV” stands for, I’ll sign up for one of your sessions. Also, you might want to get this info out on neighborhood listservs and Decatur Patch too. Plus email all your mother’s friends and church members, plus all relatives. Moms have a secret deal amongst themselves: I’ll do (Fill in the blank: buy Girl Scout Cookies, buy ticket to raffle, play Kickball, etc.) for your child, if you’ll do something for my child when he/she needs it.
IV (pronounced Ivy) means the fourth. My real name is William, but I am the fourth generation William in my family and have gone by IV my whole life.
I’m a woman of my word. Will sign up in a day or two to preserve anonymity. Hopefully, so many physically-active, community-minded DMers will sign up that we cannot tell who’s who! Let’s rise to the occasion, DMers!
