anyone know if they’ll take paint cans, and if not, who will?

      • GM says:
        February 2, 2012 at 5:13 pm

I think the city will take paint cans are part of weekly pick-up as long as they are in compliance with the city ordinance, 82-34(h):

“Paint cans. Paint cans shall be collected if empty or if the paint therein is dry or solidified with sand or pet litter and the cans are placed at the curb with lids off. “

      • Steve says:
        February 2, 2012 at 5:17 pm

They will take paint cans if all the paint inside is dried with kitty litter or something like that. They will not take liquid paint.

        • Knitter says:
          February 3, 2012 at 8:24 am

Yup, they will. If the paint is still usable, some people will take it via freecycle.
