The Clairmont Heights link doesn’t work. (At least, it didn’t work for me.) But I’d love to know how to prevent roof rats. And am slightly horrified at the idea …
Works for me. Here’s what it says:
A local resident has reported the presence of roof rats in our neighborhood and offers these tips:
1) closely trim back any and all branches of trees away from their roof lines, or shrubs and bushes well back from roof overhangs – should be at least 2 feet short of the roof overhand or no closer than six feet if it overhangs the roof. Also, do not feed pets outside – or at least don’t leave pet food unattended.
2) keep all pet food, to include bird seed, in metal containers; and
3) don’t leave trash out in only plastic bags.
4) keep yards raked and trimmed – at least don’t let branches and debris pile up that they can seek cover under.
“Anti-Decatur Walmart group”
You might want to rephrase that….
Walmart is objecting to the presence of Decatur? I could see why it might feel that way.
How about”The Wholesale Foods/Traders/Target cartel”?
LOL. That’s hilarious. Now I don’t want to change it!
“In a surprising move, it was announced this morning that a pro-Walmart group is officially objecting to the presence of Decatur near it’s planned store at Suburban Plaza.
Said a representative for the group, “Who cares if Decatur was there first! What is this, a first-grader fight over a seat on the swingset? We believe that we have as much of a legal right as Decatur to occupy land in the Atlanta metro, so in response to recent anti-Walmart efforts, we are boycotting Decatur because it apparently can’t find a way to sell basic necessities OR Cheetos at an everyday low price.”
“Plus, we don’t like their buildings that make angry and injured bird noises. Walmart has always promoted pleasant bird noises and has never advocated for undue stress amongst avian creatures.”
+1
I do not believe a distinction in necessary between “basic necessities” and “Cheetos.”
Awesome!
Anti-Walmart (and very pro-bird) group is rallying THIS Friday from 4:30-5:30 at the corner of N. Decatur and Scott. Join us!
“When you are visiting a city such as Decatur, you would normally think that you need to spend hundreds, and even thousands of dollars on lodging. This is a common scenario as luxury hotels are the first thing that comes to mind while staying in the said city in Georgia.”
Hah!
LOL. That line has made me “laugh out loud” twice now this morning!
Time to convert said house to a luxury hotel!
Well said !
Ooh! Steve’s “!” Gets me every time! :0)
Glad to be of service !!
as for the tax fees, I just took a check to city hall. no fees that way!
