I read “Free Billy Collins event…..” wrong the first time. I thought “Free” was a verb as in “Free Willy”. Maybe an Occupy Emory event. I think I would have been less confused if “event” had been capitalized.
It makes me tear up to see that a free poet reading is already the far-and-away top-clicked link this morning.
Love you guys!! (Sob, sob…)
sometimes we redeem ourselves…
…bless our hearts.
Suspicious backpack: Evidently my children aren’t the only ones who cannot keep up with their backpacks. Maybe a little police action would reform them….
Ha–I actually forwarded the link to my kid’s email account (as a “take notice”). It will help reinforce the talk we had with him about leaving his backpack lying around at the airport!
I’m so pleased that I get another chance to see and hear Billy Collins. I was disappointed that I missed him at the book festival when he visited.
If you prefer a human to human interaction, I read that tix are also available at Eagle Eye, LSOS, A Cappella and Charis.

I love the line, “Who could sleep that night?”
Wow. Thanks for the link. I am a heathen who does not read poetry and now I want to read more. “Snow Day” blew me away.
Got my two tickets to the Billy Collins event. I had not heard about it so thanks for the heads up!
